Artists gain added promotion and exposure, generate a larger fan base, and connect with industry executives including A&R and record labels. Listeners can stay informed of underground talent, revisit the classic hits, listen to their favorite mainstream artists, or simply find new music. JustRHYMES.com is a FREE service for everyone, where visitors can find music in over 30 urban inspired genres and is updated daily with music charts, featured artists, music videos, and much more.

  • Why should I sign-up on JustRHYMES.com vs. other sites?

  • We'll throw two simple words out there: NEW TALENT. New artists are joining daily, whether you're looking for new songs, mainstream artists, or classic jams, you can find it all. JustRHYMES.com provides a hip-hop exclusive community for listeners and artists to explore the underground, up-and-coming, classic, and mainstream artists in a simple image-oriented navigation that is constantly updated every single day.

  • How much do I get paid, what is the royalty rate?

  • There is no monthly or recurring fee to use this service (sign-up with a Platinum Membership for added features). Instead, JustRHYMES.com takes a small fee as a percentage of each track sold. Our fees cover our financial transaction fees (interaction with online processing partners), and our hosting, and management fees.

  • Are my files safe from being hacked or stolen?

  • Yes, very much so. All of the content is being stored on safe-secured servers where nobody has access to, except the artist who owns it. We've gone through months of our beta version which included: testing, hacker-testing, and virus-testing to protect the artists' content. We hope that JustRHYMES.com helps you, the creator connect with your streets.

  • Am I giving over exclusive distribution or ownership rights to JustRHYMES.com?

  • No you are not. We are simply your music outlet to showcase your digital content. You maintain complete rights and ownership over your original works. Within the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy upon registering you agree to allow us to make your content available for sale on JustRHYMES.com and affiliated sites and to display your name, thumbnails, previews and descriptions of your work for the purpose of promoting JustRHYMES.com and you as an artist.   • How can I promote my file and content?

  • JustRHYMES.com gives you a variety of tools to help you integrate promotion of your profile into other websites, blogs, even email. Visit the 'Hype Your Page' link located at the top of your artist management section, where you can find many customizable advertisements and pre-made graphic messages for you to post to bulletins, e-mail, and anywhere on the web. Don't forget your personal music player is a mobile storefront. If you click on the Share Player button, you can copy and paste the music player anywhere on the web (especially your Myspace page to sell your tracks) with all the great features and abilities to stream your music, purchase, or download. We supply you the code so you can embed your custom storefront profile player or profile advertisement into your blog, social networking pages (like a Myspace page), or your own site.

  • How can I become a featured artist on the homepage or in the Platinum and justHEARD artist list?

  • Featured artists spots are determined by Platinum artists ONLY, who are serious about their craft. We have set the Platinum membership fees low to accommodate everyone, so you can upgrade today! In order to become a justHEARD artist you must have your profile filled, and catch the ears and eyes of justRHYMES.com staff.

  • How can I get in on the Battlegrounds and challenge the current champ?

  • Well first things first, you have to have a Platinum Artist account. Once you login as an artist, in the artist management section, click on the tab 'Battlegrounds' here you can sign-up and your battlegrounds date will be given immediately. You can get ready for the big date by hyping your page and telling everyone you know to vote.

  • What are the differences between Platinum Artists and justHEARD artists?

  • There are a lot! Without getting into too many, a major one is the ability to be a featured artist on the homepage. More songs, pictures, and even high definition cd quality sound is available. For the rest of the features, please log into your Artist account and choose the "Upgrade to Platinum" link atop the Artist Management area for full details.

  • How can I become a Platinum Artist?

  • In order to get all the platinum features, first sign-in to your current artist account. You will see a top link in your artist management section titled 'upgrade account'. There is also a link under your 'my store' section in artist management on the bottom. Here you can securely upgrade and immediately start getting all the features.

  • How do the Top 10 Artists and music charts get determined?

  • The Top 10 Artists and music charts are updated in real-time based on the combined views, music plays, and video plays. On the Music page you can see the different artists within the different categories: "most played", "most viewed", and "most watched videos".

  • What format should I upload my music?

  • For best results, we ask you only upload your music in .mp3 format. In fact, that's the only format you should upload in. It's also recommended uploading in a bit rate of at least 128kbps.

  • I forgot/lost my password, what should I do?

  • On the Login screen, there is a link below the password field to allow you to recover your username/password combination by using the email address you used to sign up.

  • My question isn't answered here, what should I do now?
